Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

New Old Gamer ("we") runs newoldgamer.com and its game subdomains (such as chess.newoldgamer.com and party.newoldgamer.com). We keep data collection to a minimum. This page explains what is collected and how you can control it.

No accounts

You don't need an account to play. We don't ask for your email, and we don't sell personal information.

Cookies and local storage

Our games don't use cookies to track you. Some games save small settings in your browser's local storage (for example, a display name you typed or your game preferences) so they're remembered on your device. That data stays in your browser, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Third parties, including Google, may set cookies when ads are shown (see below).

Advertising (Google AdSense)

The home page may show ads served by Google AdSense. There are no ads inside the games.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland may be shown a consent message before personalized ads are used.

Anonymous playtime stats

To sort the home page by the most-played games, each game reports how many seconds it was actively played, along with the game's name. No user ID, cookie, name, or device identifier is sent or stored with it. We keep only running totals per game.

Online game rooms

When you play online (for example, Pixel Chess or Party Pack rooms), the display name you enter and your moves or answers are sent to our server to run the game. Room data is only kept as long as needed for the game to work.

Suggestion form

If you use the "What should we build next?" form, we store the game idea, any notes, and the name you choose to enter (optional). To prevent spam, we also keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for a short time to rate-limit submissions. We don't keep your raw IP address. The game titles of ideas we plan to build may be shown publicly on the home page, without your name.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Children

The site is made for families. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Please don't enter real full names in name fields.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
